Welcome back everyone for another term of learning! This term, our focus will be on identifying what makes activities enjoyable, looking at safety in games and participating in exercise for fitness.
Junior students have been practising their kicking skills by participating in minor games such as goal goal goal, balloon kicks and rebound goal. Students enjoyed using a balloon because it gives them time to prepare their kick while it is in the air and it is always fun.
Senior students have been introduced to 3 levels of exercise intensity: low, moderate and vigorous. They have identified examples of these exercises and discussed why certain exercises might feel low intensity to some but vigorous to others. Students have also participated in some fitness circuits that include push ups, mountain climbers, sit ups, skipping with skipping ropes and lunges.
