Sustainability @ TPPS

We hope you have been enjoying the beautiful Autumn weather! The Preps have been exploring the season of Autumn with all of its lovely colours, and learning about the Wurundjeri season of Waring - when the wombats come out to eat green grass and bask in the sun.

The Preps practised being wombats and crawled out of a long dark tunnel we made together in their classroom. Then they drew a picture about an interesting wombat fact. Did you know that wombats do cube-shaped poops, and their teeth never stop growing? Here are a few snapshots of cute little wombats on the move.

We found pretty Autumn leaves in the playground - yellow, orange, pink and red. They glowed in the sunlight!

Our Grade 2 students had fun working in the garden last week, raking up the Autumn leaves. We found out that they are good to add to our compost bins, and to use as mulch on our garden beds. Great work, Grade 2!

Thank you so much to the dedicated families who came in over the holidays to care for our hens, we all appreciate it so much!

The sprouts are starting to grow long enough for our hens to peck them out now!
