Principals' Message

Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Pride, Optimism

Hello Parents and Friends,

Welcome back to Term 2!  We hope that all families had a relaxing and enjoyable break.  The weather was amazing and we are so lucky it has continued this week. The fine weather was perfect for school photos today and it will really make our class photos look fantastic. Please see the Newsfeed on Compass for instructions on how to order your child’s photo package.

This week also saw our school cross-country being run.  I would like to commend the outstanding organisation of the event by Mr Van Der Pol.  The Grade 3-6 event was held at Templestowe Reserve and our students had an amazing time. As well as the cross-country race, Mr Van Der Pol organised a whole range of sporting activities to participate in while they waited for their event.  With these fun activities and music being played, it created a real carnival atmosphere and the students loved it!  Our Prep to Grade 2 students ran their cross-country race at school and it was the first taste of distance running for many of them.  They all tried their very best and we were so proud of all of our students.  It was so wonderful to see so many parents and friends enjoying the experience with us too.  Thank you for your support!

Finally, our staff had a very important professional learning day last Tuesday as they completed first aid training.  All staff are first aid trained at TPPS and this is one of the important strategies we undertake to keep our students and community safe.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Education Week – Open Day and Night – Come and join us!

We are excited to announce that Education Week in all Victorian schools will take place from Monday 19th May to Friday 23 May.  The theme in 2025 is ‘Celebration of Cultures’ which highlights the diversity of our communities and the importance of every child feeling safe and welcome at school.

We invite our entire community to join us at our Open Day and Night to learn about how we celebrate and share the diversity of the TPPS community and the importance of every child feeling safe and welcome at school. Once again, we will set up activities in every classroom and students can collect an Open Night passport (one per family) and collect stamps as they visit all the different class and specialist rooms across the school.  A lucky family will be able to win a $60 voucher!

Our Open Morning allows parents, carers and the community to come into the classrooms and see our students at work.

We are hoping to see as many people as possible for:

  • Open Morning: Thursday 15th May (9:30am to 10:30am)
  • Open Night: Thursday 15th May (5:00pm to 6:30pm)
