MACS Religious Education Symposium

Recently, Jacqui, Vanessa, Megan and Father Andrew attended the MACS Religious Education Symposium, themed 'Inspired by Faith'. Over two days, they joined educators, clergy and Catholic school leaders from across the Archdiocese to learn, collaborate and reflect on how we can continue to nurture the faith and learning of every child in our school community.

The symposium explored a wide range of topics, including prayer, Scripture, faith formation, leadership, worldviews and the Religious Education curriculum. It provided valuable opportunities to share ideas and discover practical ways to strengthen the learning experiences we offer our students.

One of the key messages throughout the symposium was that Religious Education is about much more than learning facts. It is about helping young people grow in faith, develop compassion, build resilience and recognise their unique gifts. This message is especially meaningful as we celebrate the Jubilee Year of St Francis, whose life continues to inspire us through his simplicity, humility and care for others.

We look forward to bringing these new ideas and insights into our classrooms as we continue to support our students and provide meaningful faith experiences.
