Arrival & Departures

A policy overview

To ensure the safe arrival and departure of our children each day, we ask families to consider the following procedures and thank you for co-operative participation:

Arrivals

  • Signing In - it is the care givers responsibility for ensuring that they are signing their child in on arrival to the Centre.  
  • Arrival time is between 8:30 - 9am, to give children the time to settle into their days. Family members are welcome to come and engage in some play with their child before leaving.
  • Please support your child with unpacking their own bags to promote independence.
  • Library bags can go in the basket in the entry on the day your child borrows.  A tag on the bag will indicate which day.
  • Wednesdays - Blue and Orange Team families are asked to arrive by 8:40am so that the teams can make their way to school Worship.  
  • We love a goodbye ritual, so if you need help creating one with your child please speak to your child's Lead Educator or Mrs B (Karen).

Departures

  • Signing Out - it is the care givers responsibility for ensuring that they are signing their child out before leaving the Centre.  As this is a legal transaction linked to your Services SA account, it is important that is not done by children (siblings).  We appreciate that it can be a fun responsibility to sign your sibling out, but we do ask that this not happen. 
  • Adults who are not on a child's Fully Booked account, do not have authority to remove the child from the Centre.  Please ensure that you add the adults who are collecting your child are part of your account and bring photo ID if we have not met them before.  If an adult is not part of your account, we will make a call to gain permission before releasing your child into their care.
  • Collection can be anytime from 3pm.
  • The GREEN button - to exit the Centre, we ask that adults press the GREEN button and not lift children to press this button, or allow older siblings to do so.  This is a safety risk to children during the day if they feel they have permission to press the button.
  • Library folders - if it is your child's Library day, please collect your child's bag prior to leaving.  They are located on the ottomans in the entry.  
  • Children who are still in attendance at 3:21pm will be signed into our Afternoon Program and the families contacted.
