Hi all,

We're excited to let you know that our Cyber Safety program is back in action, and the students have been actively engaging in valuable lessons to enhance their digital awareness and safety skills in our community.

This year, we are fortunate again to have Marty from 'Empower and Inform' being a main pillar in our Cyber Safety program. Over the past few weeks, students participated in their termly live stream with Marty, where they had the opportunity to learn about the latest online safety practices. The interactive sessions have been both informative and engaging, fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness among our young learners.

We are also delighted to announce that Karoo achieved a remarkable milestone this term - our very first winner of the in-classroom Kahoot quiz! Congratulations to Lachlan and Natalie in 4KV for securing the top spots in a Nationwide quiz featuring other Year 3/4 students, focused on cyber safety and staying safe online. Their achievement reflects their dedication to learning and exemplifies the importance of cultivating a safe and secure online environment.

To keep you in the loop of what your child is learning at school regarding cyber safety, I have included a Parent Tip Sheet for your information. This resource is designed to help you reinforce the language and support we provide in the home environment, ensuring a cohesive approach to online safety.

As we continue with the Cyber Safety program, we encourage parents to engage in open conversations about online safety practices at home. Your involvement is key in fostering a culture of responsible digital citizenship.
