Visual Arts

Foundation

Foundation students have started exploring the Art Room at Karoo Primary School. They responded to the book, When I'm Feeling Loved', by creating a collage of people in their own lives that make them feel loved.

Year 1 and 2

Year 1s and 2s have been learning about the colours of the rainbow, using the name 'Roy G Biv' to remind them of the correct order (R=red, O=orange, Y=yellow, G=green, B=blue, I=indigo, V=violet). They started with primary colours and then created the secondary colours required to paint a rainbow.

Year 3 and 4

Year 3/4 students have continued to learn about art from different countries and cultures. This week they have been learning about Mehndi body art from South Asia.
