A message from the Principal, Liz O'Loughlin

Bonjour, bonne année and welcome back to school for 2024.  We hope that your holidays were filled with happy and memorable moments with your children and families and friends.

As the year kicks in to full swing I would like to acknowledge our amazing staff for the countless ways they work to guide and teach our students with creativity and kindness.  I appreciate how our dedicated teachers have given up time in their holidays to create inspiring classrooms and learning spaces, making sure that the transition back to school has been welcoming, fun and interesting for your children.

I am excited to announce and introduce Ms Christy Roberts as Acting Deputy Principal. Christy has been an integral part of the St Laurence family for the last nine years in both the classroom and supporting the wellbeing of students in all year levels.  Christy will continue to focus on student wellbeing whilst supporting staff and students across the campus.  Her vibrant outlook and passionate approach will definitely be an asset to our community.

I would also like to welcome some new faces to St Laurence O'Toole Primary School this year and am very pleased to officially welcome the following teachers:

Mrs Casey Bateman, teaching in Grade 5/6 A  (Thursday and Friday)

Ms Toni Eddy, teaching in Foundation  (Friday)

Mrs Emily Sherriff, teaching in Grade 1/2

Mrs Hayley Tregidga, teaching Physical Education

Mr Brett Whittle, teaching Music, Dance and Drama

We are grateful to be able to do what we love - and that is working with your children, they make us smile each and every day!  Thank you for entrusting us with them and working together with us as we guide our students to become active, resilient learners and responsible, respectful and caring humans who can thrive in a safe and supportive community.

Cordialement ~ Liz
