Stem

It has been a great start in STEM in 2024! It is exciting that Mrs Mckell and Ms Brobyn take part in STEM teaching this year!

In Term one, we focus on Physical Science in STEM. Grade one and two students started learning about sound and light, and they explored different sound sources at STEM.

Grade Threes and Fours started learning about forces, and they wondered how some forces influence objects without contacting them. They had an opportunity to explore and use contact and non-contact forces in different stations at STEM. They are excited to plan their arcade game projects and apply their learning in the coming weeks.

Grade five and six students were excited to learn how energy can be transferred and transformed. They were surprised to realise how vital energy transformations are in their everyday lives. Students worked in collaborative teams to make electric circuits using electrical devices. They were   thrilled to see the light bulbs glowing in their circuits and celebrated the success joyfully.

We are looking forward to working with curious preps in STEM soon!
