Student achievement

Congratulations to Orlando Holmes (Year 9) who, after a successful audition, has been offered a position in the Symphonic Wind Orchestra on clarinet. Under the umbrella of the Sydney Youth Orchestra, SWO consists of student woodwind, brass and percussion players from across NSW. SWO rehearses every Saturday and performs a wide range of repertoire.

Christmas Jazz

Thank you to Music Captains, Sam Gander and William Louis, who kindly provided music in the local village during the Wentworth Falls Christmas shopping evening. While playing, they also received a request to play for the Leura Christmas shopping evening the following day. 

The Year 12 duo attracted a very appreciative audience with their performance of relaxed jazz standards and provided the perfect accompaniment to people’s last minute Christmas shopping.

Private Music Lessons

Our Music Tutors are preparing for a new year of private lessons which will commence in Week 2. You can find details of music tuition offered and tutor contact details on MyBMGS: Private Music Lessons. You are welcome to contact the Music tutors directly to arrange lessons or speak to the Music Office if you need further information.

Musical Instrument Hire

BMGS has a range of musical instruments available for hire to students who are taking lessons. Please see MyBMGS: Instrument Loan & Hire for further information and then contact the Music Office to enquire about availability.

For those students continuing hire from last year, the 2024 Hire Agreement will be sent shortly. Instruments will be available once the signed agreement has been received, from the start of Week 2.
