ICT Welcomes a Trainee
St Mary’s ICT is made up of a combination of contracted staff and internal staff. Tyler is the school's contracted ICT Technician. Nettek has been supporting St Mary’s for around 5 years and allows the school to stay abreast of new technology and new ICT threats. This year the school welcomes a Trainee to the ICT Team. Oliver Fairweather, a past student of the college, began as a full time trainee with the team in January and will be working with Tyler and Andrea Richards (Data Analytics and Systems Information Management Leader) to maintain and improve ICT at St Mary’s.
Digital Awareness – Email Management
The ICT team at St Mary’s wishes to remind you to be alert when opening emails that look to be from a staff member at the school. There have been a number of spoofing emails circulating. This is where the email name looks to be legitimate and the subject title may seem appropriate. If you open an email and are a little suspect as to what it is requesting please expand the email details to confirm the full email address of the sender. If the full email address does not match what you believe is correct then do not open the email. The school aims to communicate with parents through the use of the PAM portal which is secure. A reminder for all parents to verify your PAM accounts as these are used by the school to
communicate with you. There is an urgent need for you to complete the medical profile of your child as students are not permitted to go on any excursion unless the school has an up to date medical form.
Fortnightly Notification – PAM Digest
The College will be implementing a fortnightly digest for Secondary students which will be available through PAM. The digest includes student attendance, task information and commendations. The communication is tailored to your child.
