Tilly Aston Award
Presented 15/12/23
The Tilly Aston Award is offered to all schools in the Federal electorate of Aston and is presented in the spirit of Tilly Aston and her outstanding citizenship.
The recipient is selected by a panel of teachers and school staff and is given to a student who demonstrates:
· a high standard both in attitude and achievement
· participation in all school activities with a good attitude
· demonstrates full commitment to the ethos of the school
· has an awareness of others and their needs
· and demonstrates a positive contribution to the school community over a few years.
The winner of this year’s Tilly Aston has volunteered to assist with many different school and community activities during their time here at Scoresby Primary School. This student has earned the respect of staff, students, and parents from within our school community. They make a point of welcoming new staff and preservice teachers. They have conducted themselves in a responsible manner and have undertaken all duties and roles with enthusiasm and maturity. This student is a caring young person who truly does live by the Scoresby HEART values.
At school, this student has been a great friend and support to others, offering to help in the classroom and yard when others are lonely, hurt or upset. They are a great friend who is kind, respectful, caring, and selfless. They are always one of the first people to notice when someone else is in need of a helping hand.
This student is an active citizen who has supported both individuals and the community, not for the recognition, but out of a willingness to help others and to bring joy and happiness to those who may need some additional help. This year, they have continually volunteered to give up their time to help around the school, run whole school events and support their peers.
It is a pleasure to present this citizenship award to Ella Kitteringham, for her continued work in the school and the broader community.
Congratulations on being Scoresby Primary School’s 2023 Tilly Aston recipient.
