Excursion Levy and School Fees

The due date for all fees was the 31st January, we would appreciate parents paying these as soon as possible.  These fees include payment for all the material and equipment required by students in the classrooms and specialist classes, the school nurse and school maintenance staff.

Excursions and Incursions are being charged each term in 2024.  The Term 1 levies have either been sent to parents, or will be sent home very soon, and will cover only the activities that students are attending in Term 1.

  • Year 5 and 6 sport levy will be sent out in the next few weeks.
  • Year 6 both has a camp this term, a separate notification will be sent for this.
  • Year 3 to 6 Swimming Sports has been sent home today.

Parents are encouraged to contact Robyn James if they would like to discuss the payment of any fees or levies.

COMPASS Permissions

There are a number of permissions we need to collect at the beginning of the year.  These permissions are already on COMPASS (Head Lice Inspection, Consent to Use Student Images, Use of Student Images on Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day, ICT Acceptable Use Agreement and Google Apps Consent).  If parents have not completed these permissions, can we please ask for these to be completed as soon as possible?  [In Compass these are called Course Confirmations.  If you have already completed these, they will no longer appear in Compass.]

Reporting to Parents in 2024

There will be four opportunities for parents to receive a progress update for their child in 2024.

Parents will:

- be invited for an interview with teachers at the end of Term 1 (Wednesday 27th March)

- be provided a written report at the end of Term Two

- be invited for an interview with teachers at the end of Term 3

- be provided a written report at the end of Term 4.

Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher at the beginning of the year if they would like to share information about their child.

Parents are asked to contact their child’s teacher if they would like to discuss the Term Two report.

As usual, parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher at any time during the year to discuss their child’s progress and needs.

Traffic Safety

Parents are reminded that there are strict parking restrictions around the school and these will be enforced by Stonnington Council.  It is suggested that parents walk to and from school with their children or park a little further away and walk down to the school, this will help to reduce the congestion around the school.

The two ’Kiss and Go’ areas are still in place along Tooronga Road.  Parents are reminded that they cannot leave their car if they pull up in these areas.  If you wish to walk your child to the school gate or classroom, please do not use the ‘Kiss and Go’ areas.

Whilst we understand these arrangements are not always convenient, we thank you for your support and cooperation with this.

Students Arriving Late

Parents are reminded that if their child arrives to school after 9.05 that they must be signed in at the office.

Parents cannot drop their children off at the gate, they must accompany them into the office to sign them in - our children are too young to sign themselves in.

We acknowledge that this may be inconvenient for some families, however it is for the safety of the children that we require the parent to accompany them into school.
