STUDENT VOICE

Public School Ambassadors

Kindness Day 1:On Day 1 of the School Ambassadors’ Kindness Project, our ambassadors (Jessica and Maryana) took the lead in organising a range of activities designed to promote kindness throughout our school community. They prepared engaging lessons, colouring sheets, word searches, and posters all centred around the theme of kindness. These thoughtful resources have helped inspire students to be more compassionate and considerate, making our school a warmer and kinder place for everyone. We applaud our ambassadors for their creativity and dedication to spreading kindness!

Kindness Day 2: On Day 2 of our Kindness Project, the School Ambassadors organised a special fundraiser to spread kindness beyond our school by supporting the local community. They coordinated a food drive to benefit the Salvation Army, encouraging everyone to contribute to this important cause. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who generously donated — your support truly reflects the caring and kind spirit of our GVPS community. Together, we are making a positive difference!

News from the SRC

The school turned yellow for RUOK? Day and raised money for Stewart House. A big thank you to our school community for supporting R U OK? Day. Learning how to support our peers and talk about how they feel is an important skill, and the SRC were very happy with the successful day.

This term, the SRC are continuing to collect bottles, with money raised going towards Miracle Babies. So far, we have collected over 1000 bottles! Bottle crates and bins are located within each classroom and throughout the playground. Please ensure your bottles, cans and poppers are emptied. We will be collecting bottles until week 9.

Leadership by the Cowpasture

We are proud to announce that our school captains and vice captains, have shown outstanding leadership through their involvement in the "Leadership by the Cowpasture" initiative. Demonstrating their commitment to our school community and environment, they raised an impressive $421 to purchase new bin lids. These lids will help keep our school grounds clean by preventing ibis' from scattering rubbish, contributing to a tidier and more pleasant space for everyone. We commend their dedication and proactive approach to making a positive difference at our school!
