HPGE GROUPS

We are proud to offer a diverse range of High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programs here at GVPS. From inspiring opportunities in art, maths, and writing to developing essential leadership skills, our programs are designed to cater to the unique strengths and interests of all our students. Through these initiatives, we strive to nurture each child’s potential and support their growth in meaningful and engaging ways.
Stage 2 Writing Group
Our Stage 2 writing group recently enjoyed a webinar with author and illustrator Dan Marshall, who shared the creative process behind his engaging books Mind Blown, No Way!, Eww Gross, and False Versus Facts. Dan revealed how he discovers fascinating facts and transforms them into eye-catching illustrations.
Students had the exciting opportunity to bring their own facts to life through drawing, creating their own artistic interpretations.
It was a wonderful way for our students to explore storytelling through pictures and imagination!
Writer's Camp
Four of our talented students recently had the exciting opportunity to attend a three-day Writers’ Camp at Brewongle Environmental Education Centre. It was an inspiring experience that helped spark their imagination and passion for storytelling.
Write a book in a day
Our school recently took part in the exciting "Write a Book in a Day" competition, where students put their creativity and writing skills to the test. In just one day, participants crafted original stories from start to finish, showcasing incredible imagination, teamwork, and determination. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young writers to challenge themselves and have fun with words! Stay tuned to hear more about the amazing books they created.
