We are well into a busy and productive term, and the students have been working incredibly hard. We are now nearing the end of our final assessments for the year. It has been wonderful seeing the students giving their best effort, showing persistence, and taking pride in their learning. We would also like to share that Mr. Phypers has settled in very well as part of the 3/4 teaching team. The students have enjoyed getting to know him and he has made a positive contribution to our learning environment.

Our weekly T-Ball practices have continued, and we are seeing fantastic growth in both skill development and sportsmanship. Students have been encouraging their teammates, listening to feedback and demonstrating strong teamwork. With the T-Ball Championship coming up soon there is a great sense of excitement building.
The T-Ball Grand Final will be held at Hallam Reserve on Thursday 11th December, 2025. Students will be walking to Hallam Reserve and everyone will be participating in at least 1 game of T-Ball. We will conclude with the Grand Final. Students will be treated to hot chips and a zooper dooper on the day.
Please make sure to give your child permission to attend through Compass. You can access it in the 'Events' section.
In Literacy, we have been looking at how authors use strong and persuasive language to persuade their readers. We are learning to identify an author’s opinion and feeling within a persuasive text as well as recognise a range of persuasive techniques used to convince readers. Students have enjoyed analysing examples and are beginning to apply these techniques in their own writing
In Mathematics, we have been learning about location and mapping. Students have explored a range of familiar environments, interpreting and creating maps that show key landmarks and the position of objects relative to one another.. Students have also been developing their understanding of grid systems, using grid references and simple directional language to accurately locate places and describe pathways. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they use these skills to navigate and design their own maps.

Portfolios will be going home on Monday. It has been wonderful to see the great work students have been producing this term, and their portfolios showcase the progress they’ve made across all learning areas. Please take the time to look through the samples and celebrate your child’s achievements. Portfolios do not need to be returned to school.
