The Preps have had great fun this term, working on a range of different ball movement skills such as dribbling, kicking and punting a ball, through the sport of soccer. Alongside this, the children have also been improving their balancing skills by participating in both stationary and movement activities. They have been practising using their arms and focusing on a target on the ground to aid in their balancing skills. During the second half of Term Three, the Preps enjoyed learning about forehand and two-handed striking and put these skills into practice through the sports of tennis and cricket. They are continuing to learn how to be a good sport and a fair teammate by encouraging others and shaking hands with the opposite team at the conclusion of a game. It has been wonderful to see the children's skills progress throughout the term!
Our Grade 1/2 students have been enjoying an action-packed term of sport, mastering soccer, refining tennis strokes, exploring badminton skills, and competing in fun games designed to boost teamwork and fitness. Each session has been expertly delivered by Kelly Sports, who bring energy, expertise, and enthusiasm to every lesson. We are very lucky to have their coaches guiding our young athletes through positive challenges, helping them develop confidence and coordination. The smiles on their faces say it all as they improve their skills, learn fair play, and build lasting friendships and resilience together. Here’s to more exciting sporting adventures ahead!
This term, Grade 3/4 students have been developing their skills in football, cricket, and T-ball. They’ve focused on teamwork, coordination, and game strategies while building confidence and having fun. It’s been fantastic to see their enthusiasm grow as they learn the rules and enjoy playing each sport together.
This term in Grade 5/6 Sport, we focused on Net-Wall Games, with a major emphasis on Handball. We have worked to develop skills such as passing, catching and dribbling to play handball more effectively and confidently as a team. Students have also participated in learning about tennis, spikeball, and badminton, with a focus on returning the ball and maintaining a rally. Throughout the term, we have worked cooperatively in teams, used positive language and encouraged each other. A strong focus was also placed on fair play, showing respect for rules, teammates, opponents and umpires. It has been a fun and active term, with students building confidence, teamwork, and sporting skills.
