Zing Active Dance Competition:
Last n, our Years 3–6 students showed off their best dance moves at the Zing Active Dance Competition held at the Quay Centre in Homebush. Every school danced with loads of energy, teamwork, and creativity—making it super exciting to watch!
The crowd cheered loudly as our talented Holy Family dancers took the stage and had so much fun. A huge thank you to all the teachers who supported the event and to the parents and carers who came along to cheer our school on!
2026 Holy Family Swimming Carnival
Our second Holy Family Swimming Carnival will take place in Term 4, 2025. Please see compass event (details below).
Date: Monday 24th November 2025
Time: 9.30am – 2:00pm approx.
Where: Lane Cove Aquatic Centre, Lane Cove
Transport: Buses depart from 8:40am. By consenting to this event, you give permission for your child/ren to catch the bus from Holy Family School to Lane Cove Aquatic Centre and return.
Kindy Students (Year 1 in 2026):
Kindy Students (Year 1 in 2026) will be involved in water-based activities (do not fill in the form)
Year 6 students (Year 7 in 2026) will be running the water-based group activities and participating in their own novelty races (do not fill in the form)
Years 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (Years 2-6 in 2026):
Swimming Nominations: All students in Years 2-6 in 2026 are required to attend and must fill in the swimming nomination form below.
Year 2 students in 2026 who are NOT TURNING 8 years old in 2026:
- Can nominate for untimed 25m/novelty races as they will not be eligible to qualify for the North Shore Zone.
- Students who wish to enter the untimed 25m/novelty races do not need to sign up on the form below.
- Non-swimmers will participate in a variety of water-based activities and are required to fill in the below form.
Nominations Due: Friday 17th October 2025. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any nominations after this date.
Events:
- 100 and 50 metre swimmers must complete the form below.
- 25m and novelty races are only for students that have not entered timed 50m and 100m events and do not need to fill in the form below.
- Non-swimmers are required to fill in the below form to participate in a variety of water-based activities.
- Your child will be swimming in the age group that they are turning in 2026.
- Please write your child’s year of birth (not age).
- Students are encouraged to enter 50m & 100m events to qualify for the North Shore Zone Swimming Carnival.
Please fill in the swimming nominations form below by Friday 17th October 2025. After this date No Swimming Nominations will be accepted.
