Stage 3 Class Mass
On Thursday Years 5 & 6 hosted the first Class Mass for the year.
The theme of the mass was Mary ~ Star of the Sea. As Stage 3 have been studying Mary in our Term 3 unit form the new curriculum, it was lovely to come together to pray and reflect on Mary and just how significant she is in our faith journey.
Thank you to Father Colin for presiding over the ceremony, it was an intimate and beautiful celebration.
Tree of Hope Liturgy
We gathered as a school community to talk about hope—how we can find it in God’s love and how we can share it with others. Life is like a garden, where God helps us grow strong and joyful, even when things feel hard.
Lord, You are the giver of life.
I pray that You nourish this garden with sunlight and rain.
Let every plant flourish under Your care,
reflecting the beauty of Your creation.
On Tuesday we came together to celebrate our Tree of Hope through liturgy. The Stage 3 students led the readings and songs reminding us that HOPE is truly an important value in our Catholic Community. Each student in the school wrote a message of hope on a leaf which we added to our school Tree of Hope located in the school foyer.
The photos from our liturgy and our Tree of Hope messages will be sent across to Rome when the principals go on their pilgrimage later in the year. What a beautiful thought that our messages will go so far and be seen and heard by so many.

2. Parish Synod on Sunday 19th October
This will take place after 10.15 am Mass till 1 pm with lunch provided. Children welcome as childminding will be provided.
What is a Synod? A Synod is a gathering of people to have their say about Church matters. Pope Francis was the one who wanted all of us to be a part of what happens in our Parishes. This is your chance to be a part of discerning change.
Three questions we want you to answer in community with other families from the school and Parish are: -
What do we currently do well to ignite the faith lives of our parishioners?
What do you see as possible blockages to living the joy of the Gospel in our Parish and how can we begin to break down these impediments?
How can we open out hearts more to the call to be "revolutionaries of tenderness" both within and outside the Parish, as Pope Francis asked us to be?
If you cannot make it but still have some strong well thought out ideas, please email them to me.
