Greater Western Division Basketball
Well done to our boys who competed in the Greater Western Basketball Championships in Ballarat last Friday. The boys won a game and were defeated in two. They did a fantastic job against some very good competition. A big thank you to Mr Rieniets for coaching the boys and to the parents who supported the team with umpiring etc. on the day.
Calling all sewing parents
Our sports bibs (for our junior students) need a little TLC — the elastic needs replacing, and we could use your help. If you’re handy with a needle and thread (or a sewing machine), we’d love your assistance sewing new elastic onto the bibs. Even doing a few bibs would make a big difference! Bibs and elastic can be picked up from the school office. Thank you.
Victorian Netball
This week Asha is currently playing netball in Ballarat, representing Victorian at the School Sport Australian Championships. Asha was named Vice-Captain for the Victorian State Netball 12 Year’s and Under team, but also was given the role as the flag bearer at the opening ceremony for the event. I watched the opening ceremony and could not believe how many netballers were involved! Boys and girls teams, from all age groups and from every state were involved. We wish Asha all the best for her week of netball. Go Asha!!!!
