Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Peter Pan – Thank You!

Our school community has loved Peter Pan! After a joyful matinee and evening performance last night, we’re excited to return to the stage again tonight.

A heartfelt thank you to Alana Tebble, our Performing Arts teacher—the heartbeat of this production. Although Alana is on site only two days a week, she has poured countless extra hours into rehearsals, lunchtime run-throughs and weekend refinements. Her calm leadership, organisation and eye for detail have guided our cast and crew so brilliantly.

We are deeply appreciative of Trinity for generously sharing this fantastic venue, your hospitality made the show possible.

To our wonderful parents and friends who created and sourced costumes: you turned imagination into reality. Thank you also for cheering so loudly and supporting the arts in our school.

To our staff: we know it’s a busy time at school. Your extra rehearsals and steady encouragement gave students the confidence to shine.

A special shout-out to Luke Vare, Event & Theatre Technical Consultant—your lighting, sound and staging expertise transformed our production into real theatre.

Finally to our students: your courage, teamwork and sheer joy reminded us why we do this. Bravo!

Parents Access Module (PAM)

Unfortunately, with PAM not being accessible until further notice, the following actions have been put in place if needed or required:

For a student absence:

Email office@shcolac.catholic.edu.au with details of the absence before 10:00am  the morning of the absence.

To consent for an excursion:

A paper consent form will be sent home with the student for signing. A signed consent is the only form that can be excepted for your child to go on the excursion.

Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Foundation 2026 BBQ

Families who have someone enrolled to begin Foundation in 2026 are invited to our Family Barbecue on Thursday, November 6th. We will be conducting a brief Information Session at 6:00pm in the Multi-purpose Room to be followed immediately by a delicious BBQ tea and salads provided by our staff. Families are invited to bring their own refreshments along. This is always a fun night, a relaxed and friendly introduction to our school for new families, and a good social gathering for the rest of us.

School Closures

Our school will be closed this coming Monday, November 3rd, for teachers to prepare the children’s reports and again on Tuesday, November 4th, as it is the Public Holiday for the Melbourne Cup.

Kind regards,

Karl Dwyer
