Learning and Teaching

Year 1 Update
On Thursday the 16th of October, the Year One students travelled to Edendale Farm. During the day, they participated in four activities where they got the opportunity to plant their own seed, hold a worm, sort rubbish and feed farm animals. They made connections to our Inquiry unit by learning how things grow and where food comes from.
“We learnt about the soil and how important the worms are to us.” - Jianna
“I learnt how to plant a seed.” - Belle
“I learnt that soil is worm poop.” - Liliana
“I liked holding the worms” - Matthias
“We learnt that recycling is good for the environment” - Deana
“We did a farm tour and my favourite was the Guinea pigs” - Joseph.
