Thank You to Our Library Fund Supporters!

At our school, we’re always looking for ways to strengthen teaching and learning. One of the key supports now available to all Victorian schools is the Victorian Lesson Plans (VLPs) — a suite of high-quality, ready-to-use classroom resources designed to help teachers deliver the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0). These lesson plans are being developed across all subject areas, with English, Mathematics, Science and Technologies already available.

Many year levels have already begun exploring and using the English VLPs, which provide clear, evidence-based lessons to support reading, writing, and speaking and listening. For Foundation to Year 2, the lessons include a daily two-hour English block featuring Phonics Plus — explicit teaching of phonics, handwriting, reading fluency and high-frequency words — followed by text study lessons that build comprehension and vocabulary.

We’d like to sincerely thank all families who have donated to our Library Fund. Your generous voluntary contributions make a real difference. They’ve helped us purchase beautiful new mentor texts and decodable readers that align with the Victorian Lesson Plans. These resources will support students as they learn to read, inspire great writing and help bring our English lessons to life. Your support is deeply appreciated.
