Connect Crew

Building Community Together

Welcome back to Connect Crew for Term 4! We are thrilled to be back and ready for a busy and exciting Term ahead. Week 1 was all about setting goals and beginning the first portfolios, which will document each Crew member’s progress, achievements, and experiences throughout the term.

Collaborating with Knox City Council

This week, Courtney and Lisa had the privilege of collaborating with Katie Scott from Knox City Council. Together, we explored future plans for the Connect Crew and discussed ways to engage more deeply with the wider Knox community. Katie brought fresh ideas to the table, and we are excited to develop this partnership, which promises to create meaningful opportunities for our students to make a positive impact.

Infolink Food Drive

In response to last term’s Connect Crew suggestions, we are thrilled to announce that we will be running a Christmas Drive in partnership with Infolink. This initiative will collect non-perishable food items and new gifts for families in need across Knox. Last year alone, over 880 families required support, and our students are eager to contribute. We encourage everyone to start preparing donations and to bring them to the Connect Room in K7, where Courtney and Lisa will happily receive them and get ready to distribute in mid-December.

Spruicing up the School

While Connect Crew has been on a short break, some of our members have already made a noticeable impact around the school, completing general maintenance tasks and helping our school grounds thrive. Our veggie garden, although small, is flourishing, and students are delighted to see the tangible results of their care and effort.

Term 4 is shaping up to be an inspiring period of growth, collaboration, and community building. We look forward to seeing our Connect Crew continue to learn, contribute, and make a difference, both within our school and in the wider Knox community.
