Dear Families,

The Big Art Week Winners have been announced. Congratulations to Emma W from Glendal Primary and Danii L from Orchard Park Primary in the Artist category and Nitasha S from Mulgrave Primary and Feehan G from Croydon Primary in the Expressionist category.  There were some fantastic entries and we are so proud of the entries from the Caulfield kids.

Last week we spent time making our gift for Mr Strain for Principal’s Day.  The children, Jade and Leanne, became creative and painted a canvas to decorate Mr Strain’s office.  We had lots of children writing special messages, drawing pictures and there was a section where the children could sign their names.  It was so much fun, I would like to make one to decorate our OSHC room.

This week we focused on our emotions and learning how we can help others who may need some help.  We made emoji masks and the children even made their own emojis.  We also had extra craft activities with great origami creations, hama bead masterpieces and finger print painting.

Next week is Science Week.  Get your scientist mind ready to try some experiments, learn some interesting information and you can also bring along a fun fact or two.  Personally I’m looking forward to fireworks in a jar and vomit cups.
