Vision for Learners
NAPLAN 2023 Individual Student Reports
As a College, we are very pleased with the overall 2023 NAPLAN results. NAPLAN is just one assessment strategy used to gather data about students’ learning. Teachers use a range of assessment strategies across the year for students to demonstrate their learning and growth within each area of the curriculum.
Individual student reports are now accessible through TASS via the Academic Reports tab. A hard copy of the report is also available upon request through the College Front Reception.
If you have any queries about your child’s progress, please contact: Kirsty Hansen -kirsty.hansen@endeavour.sa.edu.au

Lutheran Schools Indonesian Partnership
On Monday 7 August, Endeavour College hosted the first workshop for Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) schools with Indonesian partnerships. The school hosted Lutheran school staff from around the country to discuss how, joining God in His mission, by strengthening our partnerships with Indonesia, will look in the future. Endeavour College has a long-term vision for our partnership with our Indonesian partner schools and we are excited to see how, God will lead us into the future.
The day started with a devotion led by Anne Dohnt, Director of Formation at Lutheran Education Australia. Discussions were on, implementing the partnership into the curriculum, what are the strengths and gifts Endeavour College can bring to a partnership? What strengths and gifts could our overseas partner schools bring to our community? Sharing visions, teacher training in Indonesia and more.
The day was concluded with a tour of Endeavour College led by Richard Baird and Peter Pearse. The enthusiasm and willingness to share ideas, as well as learn from each other was invaluable.

Senior Years Course Information and Career Expo
We kicked off the Course Counselling process on Monday night with great attendance at our Course Information Sessions. Families were able to hear about our subject selection procedures, learn more about SACE and how it is achieved and understand the value of VET in the senior years. The night also enabled students and parents to gather information from South Australian universities and TAFE, along with other Vocational Training organisations and apprenticeship providers. Many of the training providers on site are our preferred providers for our Pathways Programs offered in the senior years. We hope you found the information helpful in making informed decisions about senior year subjects and exploring potential post-school pathways.
There is plenty of further information available on the Endeavour Careers and Pathways Canvas course including our Curriculum Guide and information about VET in school courses. It also has the information pamphlet and application form for external course (including VET). Applications need to be completed and returned to the College by 30th August.
This is a tight deadline as a VET readiness process needs to be completed prior to enrolling. Completing a work placement prior to enrolment is an expectation in subsidised programs such as construction and electrical trades, hair and beauty, arts and music, automotive, community services and ICT (including screen, media and programming).
Some students may require access to SACE Stage 1 and 2 subjects different to those here on offer at Endeavour College.
These courses may be accessed through providers including Marden Senior College, Open Access College, Thebarton Senior College or SA School of Languages. It is preferred that students access these courses after school hours to avoid missing classes at Endeavour.
Students undertaking external subjects and courses will be monitored by the SACE and Pathways Coordinators and a report from the course provider will be provided to parents. There may be additional costs to families as part of the enrolment process into these courses.
Should you wish to discuss subject selections for post-school options or VET in schools programs please contact me at the College to organise a meeting - annie.fitridge@endeaovur.sa.edu.au

Course Preferences for 2024
Term 3 is a busy term for students deciding on the subjects they prefer to study next year. Currently students in Year 10 and 11 have their preference forms and these are due back next Monday. Year 9 students have their preference forms and we have extended the due date for these to next Friday. A reminder to families to visit the Careers and Pathways Canvas course for copies of the Senior Years Curriculum Guide, recordings of presentations from the information sessions, subject specific video clips, specific details on VET pathways and all other relevant information.
Individual course counselling sessions for students moving into Year 11 and 12 are occurring in the next few weeks and booking information will be circulated via email.
Student moving into Years 8 and 9 will have their preference forms given out in year level meetings scheduled for Week 6.
