The year 11 Chemistry classes took a lovely trip to Quantum Victoria in La Trobe. We learnt about precipitation reactions as well acid and base reactions through many 3 different experiments. We were given three paintings and we were given the mission to determine which one of three paintings was a forgery. Fortunately, we performed 3 experiments and luckily enough we were able to make observations of each experiment, leaving us with a clear answer of which painting was false. We were lucky enough to learnt about safety in a lab, as well as how to balance chemical equations. At this excursion we were also able to enhance our leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. We'd like to give a great thanks to Ms Domm for organising this memorable excursion and Mr Hill for the laughs and support given throughout the excursion.
