R.E. NEWS
Family Mass
Please join us this Sunday the 20th of August, at 9am, for our Parish and Family Mass at Mary Help of Christians Church. Students from Years 1 & 4 will be involved in the Mass and are asked to bring a plate of goodies to share for morning tea.
Father's Day Breakfast
Come and join us for Breakfast, Hoops and Handball to celebrate our wonderful Dads! A Compass notification has been sent regarding ordering/catering. The deadline for this order is tomorrow, Friday the 18th of August. Please check compass to add your order.

LIBRARY NEWS
Premier's Reading Challenge
Reminder:- The finish date for the Premiers Reading challenge is TOMORROW Friday 18th August.
Please ensure you have logged all the books you have read during the challenge online. If you need any help with logon/passwords please contact cmichell@arm.catholic.edu.au
Book Week Parade
You spoke, and we listened!
Members of our parent community have reached out regarding the challenges of juggling exciting events like our "Book Week Parade" and other commitments, when parades are held on different days at each campus. Because of your valued feedback we have decided that this years "2023 Book Week Parade" will now be held on the same day Thursday 24th August. This change will support parents with children at both campuses to be present at both parades.
Date and times for the 2023 Book week Parade have changed to:
Infants - Thursday 24th Aug 8:45am
Primary - Thursday 24th Aug 10:15am.
We welcome members of our parent community to join us in celebrating "Book Week" and see our wonderful students parade in their favourite book character costumes.
Early Bird Reading Club
Please remind your child that the Early Bird Reading Club is on each day from 8.30am. This is an opportunity for students to get in some valuable quiet reading time. Every chance to read personal choice books can only help reading development and building reading abilities.
At Infants there is always an opportunity to read with the library staff. Stickers, books and lots of congratulations are always available. At Primary it is quiet independent reading in a warm comfortable space.
Congratulations to Mikayla De La Mata in 2H on completing her Early Bird reading chart! Mikayla is a regular at the Infants library, she is often found under our reading tree enjoying a chapter or picture book. Outstanding work Mikayla!!

Encourage your child to be a part of our busy, happy, vibrant library community by occasionally joining in with any or all of these activities.
What day is the library open on each campus?
Primary: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week.
Infants: Thursday and Friday every week.
Both campuses are open:
From 8.30am for Early Bird reading and sticker collecting; and Recess and Lunch in playtime for reading, drawing and various clubs. Students are also welcome to return and borrow any time the library is open.
