Principal Reflections

From the Principals - Alison & Pete

Australia takes on England in their Semi-Final clash.

If you were like us, there was no better place to be than in front of the big screen watching our mighty Matilda's take on England in the World Cup Semi Final clash. Even with Sam Kerr's equalising goal, the Aussies were unable to match the England team who came up victorious. Despite the loss, our students thoroughly enjoyed the lead up to the game and being able to show support for our Matilda's by wearing green and gold. We are still so very proud of our Matildas.

Maitland/Newcastle Diocesan Study Tour

Today we welcomed over 20 Assistant Principals and Leaders of Learning to our Infants Campus for a learning walk and talk. The focus of the study tour was to see the systemness of our schools in action. Of particular interest was how each school had successfully implemented the 'Living Well, Learning Well Framework.' As part of the tour each group also visited St. Nicholas School, St Joseph's West Tamworth and McCarthy Catholic College. We would like to thank our wonderful teaching staff, educational assistants, office staff and Leadership Team for making our visitors feel very welcome and sharing the oustanding learning inside our classrooms.

Australian Education Awards

Thank you to the St Eddies Team who represented us at the Australian Education Awards on Friday night. Unfortunately, we didn't bring home the trophy but our nomination was a worthy enough reason for celebration.

Have a wonderful week everyone,

Keep Smiling,
