SRC News

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is made up of one elected student per class, from Years 3 to 6, enabling multiple ages and perspectives to be shared. Students deliver a speech to their class, with peers then electing their class representative. The student population is represented and involved in issues and activities across the school community, including student welfare, school pride, environmental impact, and house spirit, as well as in the support of charitable causes.

Student Representative Council leaders:

· Attend Student Representative Council weekly lunchtime meetings

· Contribute to positive changes for the improvement of our school and the wider community

· Make decisions about which community service activities the student body will support

· Promote initiatives discussed at meetings with their class

· Actively listen to their class members’ ideas and feed these back at SRC meetings

· Speak at assemblies

· Conduct themselves as leaders while reflecting the school values

In 2023, the SRC have successfully:

  • raised awareness and funds for the Royal Children's Hospital
  • helped coordinate the annual EPS Walkathon
  • planned and participated in the 'Donate a Dollar' Day for State Schools' Relief Victoria
  • created a Donation Drive for the Highlands Foundation in Papua New Guinea

We look forward to the SRC coming up with many more wonderful ideas from our EPS student body.

Kind regards,

The 2023 SRC leaders

Thank you for the support you provided the school during or after the 2022 October floods. Below is a link to a video which captures the flood and our recovery journey.

Hopefully, it highlights why your support was so important and the difference it made.
