From the Principal

Dear families,

The sunshine has been really welcome recently and provided for some great outside learning and events.  This year staff took our biggest group of students ever to Cross Country. We took a total of 36 students and they all competed in the gruelling 2000m cross country course down at the Semaphore Beach. We were lucky enough to get some fantastic weather and the students were, always, showed very impressive attitudes and commitment to their running but also to their respectful and patient behaviour; they were very supportive of each other which made the day very enjoyable for all involved. All the races involved huge numbers from many schools around the Port District. All our students managed to complete the circuit, including some stand out performers. Congratulations to Bilala who was 3rd in the Under 12’s. Mamadu was 4th in the Under 12’s and Meron was 2nd in the under 11’s. We also managed to take out the best school in the Under 12’s boys race winning the bannerette. Well done to Oscar, Bilala, Mamadu and David. Overall it was a great day and all teachers and support staff were very impressed by the way the students performed on the day.

We also have two days of soccer clinics this week and PAT (Progressive Achievement Tests) in most classes for the next few weeks.

Term 3 ends on 29th September at 2pm. Please ensure that you book after school care at OSHC if needed.
