Rowville District Inter School Sports

Summer Sports

This term on Friday 1st September and Friday 8th September, our Year 5 and 6 students will again represent the school at the District Summer Sports competition. Venues for sports are as follows:

T20 Cricket – Lewis Park, Lewis Road, Wantirna

Volleyball - Karoo Primary School, Karoo Rd, Rowville

Hot Shots Tennis - Reta Matthews Reserve (Mountain Gate Tennis Club), 260 Agora Blvd, Ferntree Gully

European Handball- Knox Park, Bunjil Way, Knoxfield 

Fully Loaded Softball - Gilbert Park, Gilbert Park Dr, Knoxfield 

Once again, our school has been permitted to submit additional teams in the Summer Sport competition. Therefore this has opened up the opportunity for all Year 5 and 6 students to attend both days as a competitor or supporting team member. Please view the document below in regards to the Summer Sport team your child will be participating in. 

SUMMER SPORT TRAINING:

Morning training sessions for all teams will be offered to prepare our teams for the Winter Sports competition. These are the dates for the following teams training sessions:

PARENT HELPERS : VERY IMPORTANT!!

We require at least ONE parent helper for the following sports on both Friday 1st September and Friday 8th September. Parent support is vital to our team's playing and allows our teachers to supervise our students and provide first aid when needed. We hope to have parents assist us with our teams.

If you are able to support us as a parent volunteer, please indicate this on the Operoo permission form and/or contact Mr Karl Camerino regarding your support of your child’s team.

Any help from parent helpers is greatly appreciated and always makes our team ever more enriched in their game play.

Knox Rebel Sport has been a wonderful sponsor of our school in the past and this year. All purchases at this store by parents of the St Simon’s school community provide our school with store credits. These credits are used to provide the school with sporting equipment for sporting activities.
