Landscape drawing at the Merri Creek

Last Monday, we went down to Merri Creek to observe and draw the landscape. We're currently working on still life and drawing what is around us. There were heaps of things to draw like trees, bushes, birds, and the creek.

We've been learning different ways to make shadows in our drawings. We've used crosshatching and using darker shade, like 6B instead of HB, to give our pictures depth. Being able to get out of the classroom and draw something other than a tub of pencils was really enjoyable.
