Learning and Teaching

FEEDBACK

Dear Parents,

As  part of our Annual Action Plan, Feedback was an area which was a focus for St Joseph's. Staff also engaged in professional development about feedback on our last school closure day. As we approach "Student Led Conferences" next week feedback will assist students and staff to direct their learning and teaching goals.

Feedback informs a student and/or the teacher about the student’s performance relative to the learning goals. Effective feedback redirects or refocuses teacher and student actions, so the student can align their effort and activity with a clear outcome that leads to achieving a learning goal.

Teachers and peers can provide formal or informal feedback. It can be oral, written, formative or summative. Feedback should comprise specific advice a student or teacher can use to improve their performance.

On Monday we had our dress up day for book week with the theme being "Read, Grow, Inspire". Thanks for the great effort by parents and students. We all had a great day!

Here is a snapshot of the activities students completed on the day.

Kind regards
