Term 3 Learning in 3/4

 

Here are some of our Term 3 highlights from the 3/4 Learning Space: 

 

Isabella: My highlight from Term Three was the athletics day. I really enjoyed the running events.

Ivy: My highlight for this term was writing the persuasive text about 'The School Day Should Be Shorter' which I agreed with. One of my arguments was that kids get really tired during the long working days.

Charlie W: My highlight this term has been PE because we have been practising for high jump and triple jump.

Emme: My highlight this term has been sport because we practised for athletics during this time. I enjoyed running laps around the whole school and basketball court.

Maggie: My highlight for Term Three is FBI and how we are focusing on different countries. The country that I am focusing on is Kiribati.

Olivia: My highlight for this term is that I got into districts for 100m sprints, 200m sprints and the baton relay. I feel a little bit nervous but excited at the same time.

Billie T: My highlight for this term has been practising the dances for the school production. I feel a bit nervous but I have been on the stage before so hopefully I will be alright on the night.

Billy M: My highlight has been athletics day because I came first in discus and I felt proud that I had come first.

Zara H: My highlight for this term is going to be the school production because I joined late and got a part as an understudy. I’m really excited about performing the dances.

Hiedi: My highlight for Term Three was typing my persuasive on ‘The school days should be shorter’ into a google doc and then presenting on a poster.

Evie: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because I really liked the hurdles and shot put. 

Archie: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because it was a great day with my friends and I really liked competing against them.

William: My highlight for this term has been book week day where I dressed up as Percy Jackson. My favourite activity was the hand knitting of the scarves for Frank from the book ‘Frank’s Red Hat’.

Henry: My highlight for this term has been book week day where I dressed up as a stormtrooper. I really enjoyed making Tiddlick from the book ‘Come Together’ with Mr Robinson.

Mabel: My highlight for this term has been the school production. I have enjoyed practising and seeing how much better we have all become learning our lines and dances.

Jeremy: My highlight for this term has been finishing our class novel Darwin’s Dragon and completing a book report which we will then present to the class. I enjoyed remembering and writing about the characters.

Maisy: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because I am going to district to compete in the triple jump. I also enjoyed trying new activities that I hadn’t done before like shot put.

Gus: My highlight for this term has been the projects that we are completing in Science. We are currently working on a volcano made out of paper mache with a partner which is Hamish. We will be erupting our volcanos later this term.

Patrick: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because I enjoyed all the sports we competed in. My favourite was the 200m sprints and 800m long distance runs. 

Harriet: My highlight for this term has been book week day because we did fun activities with Mr K and Mr Robinson. One of the activities was making Tiddlick the frog using paper plates from the book ‘Come Together’ with Mr Robinson.

James: My highlight for this term has been making a volcano in Science with Mr Robinson. My partner is Alfred.

Indie: My highlight for this term has been book week day because we made brochures with Mr K from the book ‘Our Dreaming’. 

Summer: My highlight for this term has been making a persuasive poster on ‘Pets Should be Allowed at School’. I agreed and one of my arguments was that scientists believe that pets can have a calming influence on the way we feel. 

Hamish: My highlight for this term has been our class novel ‘Darwin’s Dragons’. I have really enjoyed the story.

Alfred: My highlight for this term has been everything but if I had to choose one thing it would be going to school everyday. School is my favourite thing!

Jack: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because I enjoyed the running events and racing against my friends. I am going to districts to run in the 200m, 1500m and the baton relay.

Vesper: My highlight for this term has been learning how to finger knit for one of the book week activities. We made scarves for Frank the penguin from the book ‘Frank’s Red Hat’.

Sadie: My highlight for this term has been book week as I dressed up as Sadie from the book ‘A Sprinkle of Sadie’. I enjoyed making a scarf for Frank from the book ‘Frank’s Red Hat’ by finger knitting. 

Clarke: My highlight for this term has been the incursion from ‘Mad About Science’. I enjoyed it when the man presenting poured liquid nitrogen onto a tray and it instantly evaporated!

Zara B-R: My highlight for this term has been doing a persuasive writing piece on ‘Pets shouldn’t be allowed at school’. One of my arguments was that pets are not very hygienic to have in the classroom.

Flynn D: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because I enjoyed competing in the 100m race.

Charlie M: My highlight for this term has been athletics because I got six first places. I am going to district for three events which are hurdles, 800m and I made it into the relay team.

Alex: My highlight for this term has been book week where I dressed up as Ninja Kid. I enjoyed the finger knitting we did for the book ‘Frank’s Red Hat’.

Flynn M: My highlight for this term has been athletics day because I enjoyed the hurdles and racing against my friends.
