Wellbeing & Culture

On Friday, October 13th we are celebrating Cultural Diversity Day at CHPS.

Students are encouraged to wear a ‘splash’ of culture to school on Friday.

Culture can be made up of so many different and diverse factors and not necessarily defined by the country your family originates from or identifies with.

Essentially, cultural diversity is about bringing people together from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures, then creating an environment that not only recognises the differences between those cultures and backgrounds, but celebrates them. This allows people to be authentically themselves.

Culture can also mean the clubs that you are associated with:  sport, music, arts etc which help to unify society and our school.

We can not wait to see what your wear that will be a ‘splash’ of diversity that makes our school a great place to learn and grow in.
