Year 5 Update

Welcome Back

The Year 5 team wish to welcome back our Year 5 cohort, especially our students who went on extended family holidays! We are looking forward to a fun and productive term. This term we have some excursions planned, students will prepare and apply for leadership positions, meet their grade 6 teachers and we also will begin designing our 2024 Grade 6 jumpers and polo shirts. More information will be provided to families during the term.

Upcoming Learning:

• Reading - To practise our literature circle roles by reading the novel "Wonder"
• Writing - To plan, draft and edit a persuasive text using the correct structure and language.
• Maths- To collect, describe, display and interpret data.  
• SEL- To identify the impact of positive and negative self talk.
• Inquiry- To develop our geographical knowledge of France and Italy.
