Year 4 Update

Upcoming Learning:

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading: To understand the features of a recount.

Writing: To write a recount.

Math: To solve multiplication and division problems.

Social Emotional Learning: To identify conflict resolution strategies.

To develop an awareness of empathy. 

Humanities/Inquiry: To identify sustainable lifestyle choices.

To describe pollution causes and types. 

Spelling: To recognise base words and suffixes in words. 

News and Reminders:

Welcome back to Bryce Turvey for Term 4!

Also, a big welcome to our new students that have started at Hillsmeade this term. 

Homework- Reminders about the spelling and times table homework that will be continuing this term. We are also encouraging students to read. Students will have a week to complete their homework.

Term 3- We ended Term 3 with lots of celebrations- a big one being the Colour Explosion. What an amazing day that was for the school community. 

Assessment- We will be beginning assessment during class time in preparation for reports this term. 

Wellbeing- It is incredibly important that students are attending school as much as possible and coming to school with enough sleep-in order to learn throughout the day.

Sun Smart- Students must all have their hats for Term 4. Also, a big reminder for students to bring their water bottle especially heading into the warmer months.
