Meet our Prep teachers

Miss Brittany

Prep A and Team Leader

Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I teach Prep AB with Miranda! I moved to Melbourne from Bendigo when I was 19 to study event management, but realised that although I loved the creative side of events, working with children was always my passion.

This is my eighth year teaching and will be my fourth year teaching prep! I love all things creative and absolutely love live music. When I am not at school I love to bake and even have a small cake business where I make delicious treats for family and friends!

Miss Miranda

Prep B

Hello everyone, I'm Miranda, and I co-teach Prep AB alongside Miss Brittany. My career path has taken me through various roles, such as working as a Teacher's Assistant in a secondary school, assisting as a support worker for children, and running my own nannying business. Throughout these experiences, my dedication to educating children has remained constant. I completed my bachelor's degree in education last year, which included a fulfilling final placement in year five at PMPS.

Beyond the classroom, I find joy in beach outings, playing with my two cats, and exploring new dining experiences at restaurants.

  • What I'm reading right now: I enjoy reading the news to stay up to date with current affairs.
  • Favourite sport: AFL - Go the Cats!
  • My favourite subject (when I was at school): Writing, PE and Art
  • How long I've taught at PMPS: 1 year - I was lucky enough to start mid-year last year in Prep B.

Miss Bronte

Prep C

Hello PMPS community, my name is Bronte and I have been very fortunate enough to be teaching at PMPS for two years now. I started in year one and now I'm in prep! I absolutely love having fun and being silly with my preppies - doing all the Danny Go and GoNoodle dances. :)

In my spare time I enjoy gardening - I have a small veggie patch at home which I love to tend to - doing pilates, going to the pub to watch the footy with friends and enjoying all the great restaurants in my local area. This year I'm looking forward to going on a holiday to New Zealand - if you have any suggestions on places to see or things to do, please let me know.

Miss Selene

Prep D

At an early age, I had a passion for dancing. After completing VCE, I was accepted into a full-time Performing Arts course at Patrick Studios Australia. During this time, I became a dance teacher which later led to me completing my Bachelor of Education, specialising in Early Years, at Deakin University.

After completing my degree, I began working at Port Melbourne Primary School as a Year 5 Teacher. The following year, I became a Prep teacher and in 2023 I moved abroad to London and worked in a number of schools across all year levels.

Outside of school, I enjoy being active by participating in dance classes, breathe work, gym sessions and ice baths. I’d also say I'm quite a foodie that loves dining out and trying new restaurants.
