Year 12 Retreat

On 14 – 16 May, our Year 12 Retreat was completed at Camp Elim in Forster. Our first day entailed both large and small group sessions based around student relationships with family, peers and friends. Additionally, students were asked to delve into their strengths which was reflected on during our evening liturgy, while also highlighting how these strengths can be a source of criticism from others and how we can persevere during these times.

Our second day focused on the students' individual relationship with God. Students modelled clay into their own visual representations and discussed this as a small group. All staff who led small groups and Mrs Rolfe were impressed with the students' willingness to participate in the activity. All students were able to articulate the presence of God in their lives whether large or small.

Our final day concluded with students spending the vast majority of the morning in solo sessions reflecting on their peer affirmations and reflection letter from their mentor. Students were then tasked with writing a letter to their future self which will be posted home during the Term 3 holidays to arrive before their HSC and again remind the students of their achievements academically and personally before sitting the HSC Examinations.

I would like to thank all students for their participation over the three days and making the Retreat so enjoyable to run.
