Year 3/4 Learning Reflection

The Grade 3/4's have written magnificent procedural texts. If you are walking down the hallway of building two, make sure to come and have a look at our published pieces! 

In Social and Emotional Learning students have been learning about inclusivity. We brainstormed what inclusivity means and how we can show it at school. 

The Grade 3/4's have been practising how to work cooperatively. We discussed how this skill helps us in the classroom and outside in the playground. 

 We have been learning the different strategies for our timestables. It would be great if you could practice the following strategies at home with your child: 

 

*2 times tables (double) 

  • 4 times tables (double, double) 
  • 5 times tables (x 10 and then half) 
  • 10 times tables (add a zero) 
  • 3 times tables (double plus one group) 
  • 8 times tables (double, double, double) 
  • 9 times tables ( x 10 then take away one group) 

In writing, we learned about verbs, nouns, and adjectives.
