Art Updates
Art Club Update:
Students in Art Club have made two stunning wall hangings to brighten the walls of the VET Café. The ribbon and lace used in these pieces were donated by Tina Easdale earlier in the year. Student tutor, Laura Ebery shared her crochet skills on a very wintery day in Week 8 (Thank you Laura!) and we got messy in Week 7 exploring Gelli plate printing.
Please note: There will be no Art Club in Week 10 due to the GAT and transition visit.
Visiting artist: Ceramic artist, Kaye Poulton, visited on Monday 3 June to demonstrate wheel throwing for 7A Visual Arts and 8/9 Homegrown elective classes. Kaye then worked after school with Ms Nic and Ms Doller, supporting them with their emerging wheel throwing skills. Thank you Kaye, for sharing your skills and knowledge with us!
Indigenous craft with Neva: In addition to supporting the Year 10 Creative Visual Design class to design and create banners for our three school houses, last week, Neva shared her skills in making stunning necklaces from gum nuts and emu feathers.
Thank you Neva - they are gorgeous!
