We were so excited to welcome Kate & Jol Temple, well known children's authors to our school today.

Kate & Jol introduced their newest book to us called Frog Squad, brought Bin Chicken along for a play and encouraged children to use their imaginations and What if… ideas to help them with their writing. 

They spoke about the need for ‘baddies’ in stories to encourage the ‘goodies’ to do the things they never would dare to help them to be heroes.  They also encouraged children to think about looking at everyday objects, pictures, and items to use as inspiration in their story writing.   

Children who pre-purchased books had them signed by Kate and Jol.  It is not too late to order a signed copy of a book. If you would like to, please refer to the flyer attached. 

It was a fantastic visit, and we all enjoyed it.
