VOCABULARY

Transformation: turning, flipping, rotating or moving or shape so it changes 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Materials: Paper, scissors, marker.

Cut Out Shapes: Cut out various shapes from coloured paper.

Mix and Match: Combine shapes to create new figures.

Create Stories: Use imagination to invent stories with the shapes.

Draw and Label: Draw and label the created figures.

Experiment: Transform shapes in different ways (rotate, flip, stack).

Discuss Properties: Talk about shape properties and how they change when combined.

Display: Display the creations around the house or make a shape gallery.
