MC unit for Term 2 is studying the history of 'Medieval Europe'.  All students have been producing amazing artworks that have represented areas of research. The artworks will be displayed in Term 3 for Education Week.

During week 4 Tania and Katie from MC attended an autism spectrum disorder workshop run by educator, author, and autism advocate Sue Larkey. 

The workshop was full of information, strategies and understanding for students in our classrooms, the families of those students as well as their classmates and friends. 

We learned how educators and aides can facilitate an environment that caters towards the needs of our students and learned a large range of strategies that could be implemented in a variety of situations to help limit issues that could adversely affect our students in the classroom and playground. 

Sue has many resources including books, websites and podcasts that are easily accessible and may be of interest to any student, carer or student interested to find out more about autism spectrum disorder.
