Sports News - Running Club
The last two sessions of Running Club have been a vibrant and energetic start to the term. The sessions have attracted a diverse group of runners eager to improve their fitness levels. With warmer weather on the horizon hopefully numbers continue to grow.
The atmosphere was welcoming, and was fantastic to see parents and students from a number of different year levels
The focus of the first two sessions have been on endurance to see how many laps of the school you could complete for the morning.
The Running Club is set to continue every Wednesday morning from 8-8:30am.
Mr.Todd is also planning a few fun challenges and group runs to keep the sessions engaging and exciting.
Overall, Running Club has set a positive tone for the term and is about having fun, in a supportive environment for runners of all levels.
Basketball - Grade 5/6 Boys
On Tuesday the 15th of October the 5/6 boys went to Dream Street arena to play the 2nd round of the boys lighting premiership basketball.
The team included Matthew Horne, Jayden and Jordan Chunga, Rafferty Treadrell, Jaxon Edwards, Braxton Garner, Jackson Doughty, Zac Sullivan, Connor Boyd, and Hamish Howden.
Game 1: St A’s vs Woodlands
The bus driver was 30 minutes late and took the wrong turn, so we were already in a rush. Woodlands were a very skilled team and experienced.
It was a challenging game for us. It was close all game but in the end they took it away from us. Despite that tough loss we went strong into the next game.
Game 2: St A’s vs Alder Court
We came into this game with our offence swinging with all our players clicking.
It was a really fun day playing basketball!
