Principal's Report

Dear St A’s Community,

How have we already entered Term 4?

Whilst it it was a few weeks ago, I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday. The term holidays are a chance for us to reconnect, relax and refresh in preparation for the term ahead.

You may have noticed a smoother entry into the school. Thanks to a very generous parent and a donation of equipment from Kennards Hire, our bumpy walkway from the carpark has now been fixed!

Staff Professional Learning

On the school closure day at the beginning of this term, the staff participated in an intense day of professional development. We were fortunate to welcome Christina Keeble to our school to share her knowledge, understanding and first-hand experience of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance). If you ever get the chance to attend one of Christina's information sessions, I would highly recommend it. The second half of the day was presented by Charmaine from the LOOKOUT team about Trauma Informed Practice. The feedback received from the staff was that both of the sessions were informative and useful.

Busy Bees in Term 4

We have so much to look forward to this term. So far, we have already participated in a JPC Sports' Day, Prep-Grade 2 Swimming, Day for Daniel and Girls' Football & Boys' Netball sport days. World Teachers' Day

Today we took the time to say 'thank you' and celebrate our wonderful teachers. It was an opportunity for us to take our 'hats off' for the hard work and dedication that our teaching staff continue to provide to the students at St Augustine's. We also enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea together.

We are looking forward to welcoming back Mrs Rodda after her sabbatical leave. I am sure the learning and experiences from her time away will be shared with us all.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication.

 Warm regards.
