AFRICAN DRUMMING

This week our 3 year old Acacia and Banksia groups had a special visit from Odai and his African Drums!  The visit was an amazing opportunity for the children to explore rhythm and beat as well as patterns as they copied the sounds Odai made. We started off with a short performance, getting everyone excited about the music, followed by drumming, teaching African rhythms, and musical games.  The children loved this musical session and we can’t wait to make more drumming music at Kinder with lots of different objects.
