Regional Athletics Carnival

On Monday the 14th of October 6 athletes from our school competed in the School Sport Victoria Regional Athletics Carnival. In the end 2 athletes ended up making it to the state titles to be held in November 6th. The 6 students that represented St Monica’s were:

Thea H, who placed 2nd in long jump and not her best in high jump. Then there was the record breaking effort of Darcy Y in the 200m, who backed up and got another 1st in the 100m. Summer N, jumping over the hurdles placing 3rd, Blake F hurdling as well getting another 3rd for our school. Nate H running 800m placing a solid 6th! Lastly we had Harry S, another hurdler, getting a 5th for our school. It was an amazing effort for all of these athletes that made it this far. We wish Thea and Darcy all the best in their preparations for the State Championships later this year.
