Year 4/5/6
Poetry Exploration
In class, we’ve been diving into the world of poetry! Students have been reading poems from various authors and exploring some common poetic devices. So far, they’ve learned about rhythm and rhyme, repetition, alliteration, onomatopoeia and imagery.
The students have already written some fantastic poetry samples, and as they continue learning more poetic techniques, they will be refining and improving their work. We’re excited to see how their creativity flourishes as they explore the richness of language through poetry.
Thank you for your support at home, and feel free to ask your child about the poetic devices they’re learning. It’s a great way to engage in their learning process!
